Women who are forced to flee also get their periods. Support them with €5 per month - and give a reusable sanitary pad to a woman on the move.

No woman should be forced to risk infection by using old rags as menstrual pads. And no girl should be prevented from going to school because she doesn’t have a pad.
That Time of the Month
Women get their periods - even in refugee camps!
Imagine being prevented from going to school every month. Prevented from going to work. Prevented from participating in leisure activities. All because you don't have a pad. This is the reality for millions of women and girls on the move whenever 'that time of the month' comes around.
Women on the move face huge challenges every single month when their period starts. All because they don't have a pad.
Do you want to give a woman on the move the opportunity to live her life - also during that time of the month? Sign up now and donate to women and girls living in the world's largest refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
Not afraid to talk about P E R I O D S
It is often deeply taboo to talk about periods. And there are many myths and misconceptions that make menstruation an even greater challenge for women.
Therefore:
... we give women reusable sanitary pads, soap, and a bucket of water so they can wash themselves and their pads.
... we build bathing facilities so that women can wash in privacy, away from the crowded family home.
... we talk about menstruation with women and girls, but also with men and boys. We puncture myths that stigmatize women and counter misleading ideas surrounding menstruation.
Partnership
Danish Refugee Council has partnered up with Plastfree – an international sustainable sanitary pad company. For every sold item in the Plastfree range, the company donates to the campaign. This contributes to our goal of increasing sustainable livelihoods in local communities, and empowering displaced girls and women towards a life with equal access to education and work – also that time of the month.
Plastfree raises global awareness of empowering gender minorities and creating sustainable period products that benefit the people and the planet. Their products are 100 % organic, vegan approved and biodegradable.
