About DRC

DRC Danish Refugee Council was founded in 1956. We are one of the few NGOs specialising in helping refugees and displaced people. We are also Denmark's largest, and one of the world's leading NGOs.

Our 9,000 staff are present in 40 countries around the world. Here we work every day to protect refugees and displaced people.

Danish Refugee Council supports refugees and internally displaced people in all stages of displacement, including initial exile, settlement and integration in a new country, and after return.

We provide emergency aid and protection that saves lives. We support refugees and internally displaced people to become self-sufficient and included in local communities. We work closely with community members, civil society, local authorities, and other NGOs. Our aim is to promote and secure the rights of the displaced and their peaceful coexistence with host communities.
